Summary: Awesome for the price!!!
Comment: ME: Spirited Sportbike Rider
HELMET: Full faced HJC CL-SP, sized Large
Speakers prior to iASUS XSound2: iPhone earbuds w/ iPhone

FOR THOSE LIKE ME who ride with sounds and are looking for an alternative to earbuds:......Way better than expected for the 45$ + change I paid for this pair. Purchased from Amazon affiliate. Super fast shipping.

You'll need to make several adjustments to get the speakers to properly align with your ears. In my helmet it is almost a 90-95% perfect fitment. (I say almost perfect as i can feel them pressing slightly against my ear with the helmet on, but not uncomfortably so). After gettng them positioned just right, connected extention cable to my iphone and hit play. Decent volume but not loud with iPhone cranked to max.....aahhhhh, waitaminute.....forgot the Volume knob on extention cable.....ALLRIGHT!!! YEAH!!! Whoa, now its TOO LOUD!!! COOOOOOLLLLL!!!!!

NEXT STEP: Hide the wires behind the helmet lining and add my own velcro to the volume control and stick it to the lower edge of the helmet so I can control the speaker volume with my left thumb.-- PERFECT!

PROS: Very nice Bass and Treble. Comparable to good quality earbuds.
Tuck all extra wiring behind the liners and glue or velcro the volume control and you only have to worry about 1 plug connection for your sounds. i can easily control the volume knob with a gloved thumb so I can talk to my riding buddy at red lights and then turn up the volume for the freeway to filter out the engine and wind noise to my liking.
Putting on / Taking off helmet is like normal with a short wire hanging which can be tucked easily out of the way if not needed.
Best of all, Great sound, no hassle with earbuds falling out and not staying in, etc etc....

CONS: Well it aint a Bose headset so don't expect sound quality like that. Other raters have complained about sound quality and at first I thought the same until I realized that you need to make several adjustments until you get the right speaker positioning. After that, it's all good.

OVERALL: Already recommended this to my friends and to add another positive review for a great headphone alternative. iASUS also sells a Mini Amp to pair with this but I don't need to get one. The existing volume is very adequate.

Disclaimer: Motorcycle riding is already dangerous enough as it is without adding to it. Riding with headphones can hamper your senses while operating a motorcycle. Rock out at your own risk!!!

Summary: use for GPS: Excellent results
Comment: I bought these speakers to use with my Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS installed on my motorcycle. They inserted easily in my HJC helmet and the sound is loud enough even at high speeds.
I made one change: I got rid of the wire/sound control cable and used a plain cable as the one they supplied is not long enough. I control the volume from the GPS which is easier anyway.

Summary: These Speakers Rock!
Comment: These speakers Rock! They are much higher in fidelity than others I have tried/owned and can easily be heard on my motorcycle even at high speed. The cabling and volume control are higher quality and look like they will wear longer than others (less expensive ones will flap in the wind and eventually loosen wiring connections). Installing in helmet is VERY EASY and takes only a minute with no extra pieces or parts required. I use mine with my iPod and it sounds great in all riding conditions. I leave my iPod volume at max and simply use the inline volume control to turn it down. Full volume is too loud even when wearing earplugs underneath them.

WAY BETTER THAN WEARING EARBUDS!!! Put your helmet on and forget about earbuds falling out or slipping. These would also work great for other sports that require wearing a helmet - like bicycling, snowboarding, ATVs, etc. Great speakers for the money!

Summary: Good wired speaker solution
Comment: I have Bluetooth set-up but bought these to install in my helmet for an upcoming long trip which will exceed the daily battery charge of my Bluetooth set-up. These are simple, easy to install. The speakers are a little bulky, but the Arai helmet has a large speaker cut-out area to accomodate them, which will not be true of all helmets. It's nice that the cord has a disconnect point up near the helmet chin strap (easy to find) and has a nice volume control wheel. I would have liked the cord to be just a few inches longer, since the reach my handlebar-mounted Garmin is a bit tight, but will be plenty long enough if plugging into an MP3 player in your jacket pocket or tank bag.

Summary: Just ok
Comment: Although they arent the loudest speakers there fidelity makes up for it. They are a must if you take your bike on long trips. I personally like the speakers but would upgrade at first chance.
